The following elements should be presented each class:
1. Greet parents and students (one catechist should welcome parents and students at the door).
2. Provide number cards to parents
3. Gather with parents and students by the altar an start with the open prayer; thanking God for students and families. Then, ask one parent to read one of the holy mysteries. Then, make the sigh of the cross, 1 Lord's Prayer, and 2 or 3 Hail Mary's, give 3 minutes break if students needed (they might start to look anxious) or offer positive reinforcement. Provide reinforcement.
4. Briefly Review last lesson with all students. (2 or 3 min)
5. Explain new lesson, or concept, or story, (3min)
6. Present Craft activity related to new lesson. (Explain and show sample to parents, so they can start working on it. In the meantime, go one-by-one, check homework. Evaluate their progress in the prayers and suggest praying methods specific for each child.
7. Allow children to take breaks or leave early if not feeling good.
8. Collect numbers, give back Mass cards (stamp).
